IPO-01 Historic Italian Pipe Organs

This screensaver contains 29 images of historic Italian pipe organs from the 16th to 19th centuries. The instruments featured include the unique water-driven organ of the Quirinale in Rome - the only functioning historic model in existence, the organs of Santa Maria sopra Minerva and Santa Maria in Trastevere in Rome with their magnificent gilded cases, the sole surviving Renaissance organ in Rome with its beautifully decorated pipework and gilded case, as well as some famous and not-so-famous instruments from Sicily, Liguria and Tuscany. Some interesting views of historic keyboards, bellows and pedalboards have been included.
